To form the present continuous, use the present tense
of the verb be + -ing form of the main verb.

For verbs that end in –e, replace the –e with –ing form by replacing the –e with –ing

If a one-syllable verb ends in a consonant, a vowel,
and a consonant (CVC), double the last consonant before adding. –ing
